A Lesson in Salmon Conservation


It’s all too common to hear anglers lament that the fishing is not, and never will be, “the way it used to be”—a phrase often used to describe struggling fisheries. It’s not unfounded, though: the Rogue River and others in the Northwest have struggled with declining steelhead populations each year. The Ghost of Steelhead Future, from Sage and Tributaries Digital Cinema, extrapolates what could happen to this prized Oregon river if they follow in the path that Maine has seen in its Atlantic salmon fisheries.
